The Comic Sans Days Are Over: Type Specimen Poster

I am a current student at RVCC, majoring in the Interface Design & Web Development program. Currently in my third year of school. After graduating and obtaining my associate degree, one of my main objectives is to get a prosperous career within the marketing division of a major company, working as a web designer and/or front-end developer.

For this project, I had to use my growing knowledge of typefaces and the nuances within the physical form of individual typographic specimens to construct a poster in the likeness of an iconic figure (I chose Florence Welch of the band “Florence and the Machine”) using only unblemished typographic specimens. Everything you see in the final poster is either an unblemished letterform, numeral or punctuation mark. This was created in Adobe Illustrator.
