Description
I’m a Graphic & Interactive Design major at RVCC where I also work as the Box Office Manager for
The Theatre. I already have a four-year degree but I’m back in the college classroom taking graphic design courses part-time because I’m drawn to the creativity and endless challenges that the discipline presents. After earning my AFA degree in graphic design from RVCC, I hope to find work in the design industry.

After earning my AFA degree in graphic design from RVCC, I hope to find work in the design industry.
For this project, I was challenged with creating a full book jacket for a book of my choice (I chose “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.”) We had to focus on creating a marriage between type and imagery while employing a strategic visual hierarchy and visual metaphor to hint at the content / plot of the story. To do this successfully, I had to first carefully define the target audience for my book. The project was executed using both Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
