Virtual Classroom Literacy Project

I am a part-time student, and part-time nanny working towards receiving my Early Childhood Education Associate's degree. Outside of my love for working with children, I enjoy baking and bike riding. For this project, my class and I were assigned to create our own virtual classrooms. My virtual classroom consists of multiple lesson plans that I created, as well as a virtual library of books. The books that I selected for my library correspond with the theme of the lessons; “Food”. My lessons contain a variety of activities that preschoolers can complete virtually. The purpose of these activities and their related books are to teach children all about different types of food. In my lessons, students will be introduced to new cuisines, learn to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy, and use math to count food. My overall goal for this project is to be able to take the skills that I learned about building a virtual classroom and lesson planning and bring them with me into my future classroom.
