Understanding Childhood Abuse and the Different Forms It Takes

My name is Toni Romani and I am currently a first year at Raritan Valley Community College. During my high school years, I attended Somerville High School and Somerset County Vocational Technical High School for Culinary Arts. I view myself as a hard-working individual who strives to do great things and make my family proud. I enjoy music and reading and I always take my studies very seriously. I play the flute and trumpet and took part in marching band in high school. One of my goals in life is to become the first doctor in my family as I am currently pursuing a pre-med associates degree here at RVCC.

As for this project, I really wanted to bring light to the chilling issue of child abuse and where it stems from, and the negative consequences that come from it. This project has allowed me to do so, and in return, I have learned so much more about this topic. I am now able to view certain situations in a sense that I would not have looked at before, and because of this, I do believe that this project helped me gain a better insight which will greatly help me in the future. Overall, I will use my newfound knowledge and skills obtained from this project to help me with future academic work and will strive to make as much of an impact with those assignments as I have with this one.
