I am 20yrs old and have always enjoyed art as one of my numerous creative hobbies. I was given the opportunity to make this piece as part of an English class presentation, inspired by the short story "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid. To me it is representative of how in youth boys are given free reign to run wild yet young girls are expected to be composed and adult.
