Description
I am Naomi, a student at RVCC, and a composer in my free time. Music has always been important to me, almost by necessity. I have perfect pitch so my abilities to work with notes by listening to them made my parents attempt to act by getting me into piano lessons immediately, however my sights were elsewhere. Making music is what I truly love, and though the piece I submitted is a lament with a somewhat depressive feel to it, I love capturing a wide variety of feelings and moments in my songs. One day I do hope to make composing my career, and to add to the world with my music. Until then though, my goal is to use every opportunity I can to make music like this, for class projects like these.
The project is a song, around 2:40 in length. The instrumentation is a piano lament, with light orchestral elements, aiming to create feelings of sorrow and tension, with a theme of pain and acceptance.
