Description

I'm Josselyn Malespin, a 20-year-old Latina student currently majoring in English. English has always been a strong love to me. I love being able to fully immerse myself in a story. Whether it be reading or writing it. I aspire to be an English teacher someday, and being able to connect with students who speak English and Spanish has always been a motivator.
This assignment for my Intro to Cultural Anthropology sparked an idea, one where it was deep in my core. "Express your bilingual self" are the words that started the assignment instructions. They ignited a motivation to show my bilingual self. The story shows the struggle of language and identity I continue to face as I age.
